Somewhere between 1400 and 2012 degrees is where the magic happens.

Heat allows steel to convert into a hard and useful tool. If not austentized,quenched and tempered properly, the blade will not hold a sharp edge.

I heat treat all my blades in an oven specifically made for knife making.
